Facts and Opinions From a US Citizen

It is my opinion that events can change ordinary men into extraordinary men. It was events in their times that made such men as Washington, Lincoln, Churchill, FDR, and others, great. Perhaps one of the facets of greatness is the ability to recognize the opportunity and take advantage of it. I ended part 1 with Obama blowing his chance. This man, with no understanding of the economy or how the real world works is taking us down a road that will change the fabric of this country- one in which taking is better than providing and govt control is better than personal responsibility. If allowed to continue, we will leave our children a country we won’t recognize. The path he has chosen is a matter of record. He has presided over the first credit rating cut in US history.

He violated the War Act in Libya.

He instructed defense contractors to violate the Warn Act.

He bypassed a structured bankruptcy for GM and imposed a government bankruptcy. In doing so, he screwed the common share and bond holders while handing over 17% of the company to his union supporters (my opinion: in reality, Obama really didn’t “save” anything. GM is currently on life support, approximately $30 billion of taxpayers’ money will never be repaid, and in 5 years, or less, GM will be Chinese-owned).

He has refused to enforce existing immigration laws.

He filed suit against AZ when they wanted to protect their borders because the feds either could not or would not.

He told Boeing it could open a plant in NC (a right-to-work state) without risking federal prosecution. That is, until the unions in their Seattle plant received a sweetheart deal.

He threatened insurance companies if they spoke out about the reasons for rate hikes.

He cut oil drilling permits in 1/2 and raised emission standards on the coal industry that will eventually put them out of business.

He then told us not to worry. The long term cure for our energy problems are wind and algae. His apology tour is an embarrassment and an affront to every to American. It is a matter of record. In France, he said we were “dismissive, arrogant, and divisive.

In Trinidad, he said we “dictate our own terms.” In Langley, Va, he said we “have to acknowledge our mistakes.” The most revealing example of his anti-exceptional feelings were in Cairo. I suggest you Google Obama, Cairo speech. It speaks for itself.

He was the first American president to bow before a foreign king and called the early morning call of the Azan (Muslim call to prayer) “the most beautiful sound on earth.”

He told Medvedev he could be more “flexible” after the election and insulted Netanyahu to Sarcozy- both on open mics of which he was unaware.

He promised to close Gitmo.

He wanted to put Khalid Sheikh Mohammed on trial in NYC where he would be eligible for US Constitutional rights. When faced with the monumental stupidity and enormous resistance to that, he finally put Mohammed on trial……………. at Gitmo.

He promised a “new beginning.” Americans would no longer condone the torture of terrorists.

Time out for a question: Would someone please tell me how you justify and end of torture for terrorists, but send unmanned drones to kill them?

He promised transparency but passed a health care bill that nobody read and 2/3 of the country doesn’t want. That’s OK. Pelosi told us “we need to pass it before we can understand it.” Wellllllll we’ve read it. We now understand it will be the biggest tax increase on the middle class in history, the estimated cost has gone from $700 billion to $2.7 trillion (and it hasn’t gone into effect yet).

The problems go on and on. Suffice to say, it can never work. Period! He told Catholics, and others, they have to violate their collective conscience. They must, by law, pay for others’ contraception and abortions. He promised bipartisanship but never, I mean never, even spoke to Mitch McConnell when he had a Dem filibuster proof congress. Benghazi! There’s still much that we don’t know and more info coming in every day. Very briefly, with 4 murdered American citizens and an Al Qaida flag flying over our burning embassy, it takes 2 months to call an act of terror an act of terror. The trail of misinformation and inconsistency is so apparent, that there are only 2 possibilities: this is another example of monumental incompetence or a cover-up (perhaps both). We’ll never know whether those hero’s lives could have been saved. What we do know is that we didn’t even try!!

After 4 years, we got exactly what Obama’s resume promised (and what we deserved)- an ideological school teacher with no practical experience doing a job he was not, and is not, qualified for, whose classroom theories don’t work in the real world.

What we got was slower and slower growth in each of his 4 years, the likely ruination of health care, and a Middle East out of control. His policies virtually guarantee a continued recession (if not a depression), high unemployment, higher energy costs, and continued legislative stagnation. For these, he spent $6 trillion of our money. It will also leave the next generation a $20 trillion debt. His lack of respect overseas, lack of understanding of foreign diplomacy, and perceived weakness are the real causes of Benghazi, Syria, and Iran. His record is one of waste, overpromises, and under performances. These and his lack of leadership and gross incompetence will be his legacy. We too are responsible because we elected him!!

In 2008, all they could say is “He’s not Bush.” In 2012, all Obama can say is “I’m not Romney.” On Wed, Nov 7, will Obama awaken and say “Michele, I don’t think we’re in 2008 anymore.” Or, will we drink the koolaid……….. again!!

“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our government reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that “the buck stops here.” Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.”

Senator Barak H. Obama, March 2006………………………. Hmmmmmmmm
