Facts and Opinions From a US Citizen

A week has passed since the attack in Paris. Global outrage and sympathy soon followed.

In response, France declared war on ISIS and formed an alliance with Russia. I faithfully watched the media coverage. I, too, felt outrage and sympathy. BUT…before I continue, I must disclose my complete support for Israel. It has my heart and my prayers. Are my opinions influenced by that support?….Absolutely!

OK, so while I share the emotions of others from the Paris attack, I have sobered up and I remember. The French govt has a long history of anti-Semitism and has been condemning Israel for years. In addition to  a brutal and centuries long Inquisition, they enthusiastically turned Jews over to Nazis. They voted in favor of UN Resolution 181 only after the US threatened to stop post-war aid needed for reconstruction. Attacks on Jews have been increasing since the Six Day War without consequence. There is no teaching of the Holocaust in schools. The old they-control-the-banks-and-media rhetoric is common. France is currently working on a resolution that would give UN recognition to a Palestinian state. It includes a divided Jerusalem and a return to ’67 borders. (By the way, there is every indication that our Israel-supporting President has no intention of blocking it…Hmmm) They have taken Hamas off their terrorist list. Israeli products are marked as coming from Judea and Samaria. Approximately 10,000 Jewish families are emigrating to Israel annually.

The fact is that France condemns Israel for fighting, daily, the same radicals that attacked Paris! What do you think would be the response if Israel called for restraint? Can’t you talk to them, understand their point of view, negotiate with them??? Yeah, sure. Negotiate, they said. Stop the Settlements, they said. Return to the ’67 borders, they said. Don’t retaliate against 1,000s of rocket attacks in a disproportionate way, they said. Negotiate with those who refuse to negotiate. Negotiate with those who believe they exist only to kill you. Hmmm, really? I hope France, and the rest of the world, finally understands what the word “radical” means in radical Islamic ideology. I hope they think twice before they opine again on how, or how much, Israel should respond. For radical Islam, peace will come only when Jews have been exterminated and there is a global Caliphate under Sharia Law. Period!! No discussion. No negotiation. Convert, submit, or die.

I would remind France, and the world, you have been warned. The State of Israel has been repeating the warning since 1948. Now, it’s time you listened. The fighting is not over settlements or borders or occupation or a 2 state solution. It is about the next “final solution” and world domination. And the warning is not just recent. It is over 3,000 years old. “And I will bless them that bless you, and him that curses you, I will curse…” Genesis 12:3. Message to France: You walked in Israel’s shoes last week. So, the next time Israel is attacked and you shake your finger or shrug your shoulders or plan UN resolutions, remember, Israel is on the front line and fights your battle every day.

And the battle is coming to a neighborhood near you…soon!
