“Couldn’t help this one. Pissed me off.”
On April, 14th, the Dems had a debate in Brooklyn. It was fairly contentious, but, for me, one moment stood out. Bernie came out of the closet. Certainly Israel has the right to defend itself… as long as they don’t hurt anybody (actually he used that ridiculous word “disproportionate”). For which, he received an ovation!! Epithets are popular this election.
Here’s mine for Bernie… Unjew.
Yom Hashoah is a day we honor those Jews who fought the Final Solutioners. We also remember and name those Jews who, while in no danger themselves, failed to act to protect their people. Today, I name Bernie… Unjew.
It’s not enough to say you remember your Jewish culture, enjoy Jewish food, or remember the lessons of your parents. No. You must acknowledge that Israel can depend on no other nation to come to its defense. You must acknowledge that you take Israel’s enemies seriously when they make non-negotiable threats to “liberate Palestine from the river to the sea” and act accordingly.
So, Senator Unjew, you say you care about Israel but I challenge you. What is the proportionate response to hearing a siren and knowing you have 30 seconds to find shelter? What is the proportionate response to 6000 rockets intentionally targeting civilians? Would you launch 6000 rockets in to Gaza? No? Ohhh, because their rockets miss and Israel’s wouldn’t. I guess that wouldn’t really be proportionate. So, it’s ok to launch rockets as long as they miss. I see.
Senator Unjew, did you speak out on the Senate floor and vote “no” on the Iran deal? Nooo, you voted in favor. Have you ever spoken out against the growing anti-Semitism on college campuses or the BDS movement? Again, no? You say you support Israel and then ascribe a moral equivalence to Radical Islamic terrorist aggression and Israeli self-defense of its sovereignty? Do you speak out from the Senate floor when you hear Israel’s genocidal enemies label it oppressive, racist, apartheid or just nod your head?
One more thing Senator Unjew. Although you are safe for now in VT, far from Hamas’ missiles, a soon-to-be Iran nuke, and extremist Muslims who make your life a daily hell, don’t be so smug. Europe is falling and “the big Satan” is next. You’ve had it pretty good since the end of WW11. But, here, anti-Semitic incidents are multiplying. Jew hatred is on the rise. Your security may not be as guaranteed as you think. Some day you may need a strong Israel. You may even need a refuge. Hmmm, better re-evaluate before it’s too late.
