COVID-JOE

On Oct 2, we woke to the news that Trump was Covid +. The reaction was swift. Joe, Nancy, and Chuck walked that politically correct fine line between sympathy and blame. The MSM were less vague. “With his brazen and careless disregard, he got what he deserved.” As Covid takes center stage again, it’s time to take a walk down memory lane and remind Joe, et al of some inconvenient history.

Joe and others have made loud, public comments about their past responses to viral outbreaks and warnings about the current one. H1N1, swine flu, broke out in 2009-10. Dems don’t like to talk about it because they didn’t handle it well. Obama/Biden didn’t close the Mexican border. A national emergency was declared (Obama was playing golf at the time), but no concrete results occurred. PPE’s were distributed but never replaced. Schools were told to “consider” closing but the CDC warned this might adversely affect the children. No one talked about a national shutdown. They promised 100 million doses of vaccine. Only 11 million were produced. They announced they could not control the spread of the virus, only the impact. According to the CDC, 22 million people got infected, 36,000 children were hospitalized, 540 children died. Former Biden Chief of Staff, Ron Klain, said “We did every possible thing wrong…It is just fortuity that this isn’t one of the great mass-casualty events in American history.” That screaming silence you hear is the lack of outrage.

More recently, Joe has been admonishing Trump for not taking the virus seriously, for not acting sooner, for not listening to “guys like me.” Hmmm, really? On Jan 30, Biden adviser (and architect of Obamacare), Zeke Emanuel announced on CNBC for people “…to stop panicking.…the virus will go down as Spring comes up…” On Jan 31, the day of the China travel ban, Joe cried “hysterical, Xenophobia, fear mongering.” Throughout Feb, Joe’s advisers were minimizing the threat. Irwin Redlener, Pediatrician and noted Trump-basher said “… getting a severe form of the Wuhan virus (oops, what did he call it?) is negligible.” Zeke again, “Running out and getting a mask is not going to help.” On Feb 24, Nancy was inviting everyone to dinner in SF’s Chinatown. All these while China and WHO were telling us……..no problem. Thru Mar and April, there were live rallies and in-person voting was encouraged. No mention of masks, social distancing, a faster vaccine, or using the Defense Production Act.

Joe and his advisers shouldn’t be allowed to pretend they were right when they were wrong and they knew better when they didn’t. Joe is free to argue he would be a better president but he shouldn’t get to rewrite history (listening MSM?)
